Hooksett Kiwanis 5KTrail Race and Kids Fun Run

A cloudy and misty morning did not keep the runners and walkers away from attending the 13^th Annual Hooksett Kiwanis 5K Trail Race and Kids Fun Run, being held on September 21, 2024. We had over 70 runners and walkers participate and a dozen kids participated in the Kids Fun Run.

Race Chair Sue Willey had this to say “ Thank you very much to all of the volunteers and runners for making this event such a success.”

While light drizzle fell during the race the heavy rains held off until after the race and ceremonies were completed. During the race the runners stirred up a Hornets Nest, however, the Fire Department was there to support anyone who was stung.

Sue Willey also had this to say ‘ We had a 50/50 raffle which netted $125 for the winner. Doris Labbe won the money and she very generously donated it back to Kiwanis. We also had 2 canvas pictures from Head’s Pond trail generously donated by Steve Andrews. Tom Raffio and Roger Duhaime were the winners of those.”

Congratulations to Mary Klene for not only winning the women’s division but she was also the over winner. Michael Mann was the Men’s overall Winner. The winners for each age category are listed below…
