On what started out to be a raw gloomy Saturday May 20th, the day turned out to be nothing but a bright and glorious day for the Hooksett Community. More than 150 volunteers from various Service Organizations, including Scouts, local businesses, churches as well as friends and neighborhood groups, registered for the clean-up event. “Team Up to Clean-Up” was the theme for the third annual “Beautify Hooksett Day”.
Before their day of hard work, the groups enjoyed Coffee and wonderful Cider donuts, courtesy of “Roadside Common Man”. Over 20 teams cleaned up the roadsides. Additionally, Donati Park and Lambert Park were both cleaned up. The Kiwanis Club organized clean-up along Heads Pond Trail, and the Conservation Commission organized clean-up along the recently completed Riverwalk Trail. After the event, everyone’s hard work was rewarded at a social gathering at Lambert Park where they were treated to Wood Fired Pizzas from New England Taphouse Grille and sandwiches from Robie’s Store.
