Club Annual Meeting and Board Elections – 5-1-24

The club has two openings for the upcoming year and we would like to ask if you have any interest in being on either the Board as Directors or serving as Vice President. The nominating committee is looking to round out the slate of candidates prior to the annual meeting vote on May 1, 2024 during our Dinner Meeting at Oscar Barn.  

• As a Board Member you would attend monthly board of director meetings and offer insight and accountability to club happenings, vote on important matters and provide our leadership team with support to achieve our goals.  If you are new to Kiwanis or haven’t served on our board in a while, then we’d welcome you to offer your contributions to make us an even better club. You’ll also get a deeper understanding how our fundraising efforts support the local community and have a say in club operations.   Board membership has an approximate commitment of 2 hours per month which includes meeting prep work, meeting attendance and any follow-ups for the October 2024-2026 term.
• As a Vice President you will work closely with our President Elect, President, and Immediate Past President to learn about Hooksett Kiwanis and support leadership initiatives such as membership growth and retention, strategic planning, member engagement and new initiatives. Each leadership role has a function and as VP you’ll get exposure on how club runs efficiently over time. This role prepares you for leadership roles as President Elect, President, and Immediate Past President.  VP has an approximate commitment of 3 hours per month which includes meeting prep work, meeting attendance and any follow-ups for the October 2024-2025 term. It is assumed that you will be promoted in the leadership team in future years unless a conflict arises. 

Taking on a Board of Director or leadership role is another way to give back with your valuable asset: (your time). On behalf of the nomination committee, we would ask you to consider one of these roles and provide a response by Friday, April 12^th to be included in the slate of nominees at our annual meeting vote in May.
