The morning of August 6, 2024 started out very rainy and dreary. However, the day ended up anything but dreary as Hooksett Police held their 7th annual National Night Out. The sun came out in the early afternoon and dried up the grounds at Donati and everyone worked very hard to prepare for the evening of free fun activities for the Hooksett Community. Kiwanis as it has done for the last several years supported the Hooksett Police by joining together with Granite State Fellowship Church and New England TapHouse did all the cooking of Hot Dogs and Hamburgers,
Additionally, Kiwanis, Barrett Insurance and Merrimack County Savings Bank sponsored the Smoothie Bus which as always was a huge hit, giving away 300 Smoothie drinks. Kiwanis Community Service Committee headed up by Sandra Mack gave away books to any children who stopped at the Kiwanis table.
A big thank you goes out to the 20 Kiwanis volunteers ready and eager to help the hundreds of folks who attended this wonderful community and family event.
