Hooksett Kiwanis/SLP Recognition Dinner Meeting 6-5-24

On Wed, June 5th, Hooksett Kiwanians gathered with families and friends to honor members of the Service Leadership Program groups, sponsored by Hooksett Kiwanis: Memorial K Kids, Cawley & Hillside Builders Clubs, Central, Pinkerton & Trinity Key Clubs. The event took place at the Oscar Barn in Hooksett.

At full capacity, the Oscar Barn was brimming with laughter and excitement. The meeting kicked off at 6 pm with President Tim Sweeney’s opening remarks followed by an induction of a new member to the Club, Anne Fichera, and the announcement of one of the Kiwanis Scholarship winners, Crosby Nolan.

The dinner featured pizza and a taco bar. Attendees spilled out onto the outdoor patio and mingled, enjoying each other’s company and catching up. Once hearts and bellies were full, the meeting moved along to begin the formal process of recognizing the incoming and outgoing members of the affiliated SLP’s and acknowledging their many accomplishments.

Amy Merrow, who is the Committee Chair for all SLPs, explained what the mission of the SLP is and highlighted each group affiliated with and sponsored by the Hooksett Kiwanis Club: Memorial K Kids, Cawley & Hillside Builders Clubs, Central, Pinkerton & Trinity Key Clubs. She also thanked the faculty and club advisors for each club. Judy Barrett, Club and District Secretary, then proceeded with the retirement and installation of the board members, giving recognition to all who were and were not present.

A fantastic night full of positive energy and camaraderie. If you are interested in finding out more about Hooksett Kiwanis, please visit our website hooksettkiwanis.org.
