Hooksett Kiwanis was one of the proud sponsors of the Hooksett Winter Carnival on 1-25-25.
Historically, Hooksett did have a short-lived Winter Carnival back in the late 70’s, featuring outdoor events at Donati Field and Hannah-Ho-Hee Pond. The current Winter Carnival which debuted in 2019 at Town Hall and its campus has been growing every year. Last year it became bigger and better with its new location at Hooksett Memorial School.
At this year’s event the weather started out frigid at 10℉, in a short time the weather warmed up along with the activities and attendance.
There were close to 1,000 attendees. Outside activities included Snow Shoeing and other outdoor winter activities. Also outside were fresh cooked popcorn and roasting marshmallows and making smores.
Inside there were over 60 arts and craft vendors, face painting activities, and Dance School performers, and many food vendors. Also inside was a raffle with a chance to win over 100 prizes totaling over $5,000.
Kiwanis had almost 20 members who either helped in the planning of the event or volunteered that day. In addition, we had another 5-6 members who were able to attend the event with their families. Thank you for supporting Kiwanis and the Hooksett Community!
