President’s Message
We have all heard the expression “Hey buddy, can you spare a dime?” In the case of the Hooksett Kiwanis Club, a better question/expression might be “Hey Kiwanian, can you spare some time?” Your Club works hard each year to conduct service projects and activities that support our mission supporting the children in Hooksett and the world. In order to accomplish our mission, we undertake activities like the Community Leaders Event, the 5K Trail Race, the Golf Outing, Winter Carnival, Kiwanis Calendar, National Night Out to support the Children’s Literacy Program, Kids’ Kloset, Food Pantry and other Kids and Community-focused programs.
We are fortunate to have local businesses that support our efforts in these areas. However, there is one missing ingredient in our efforts. YOU! So often, what we discover is that the same Kiwanians continue to chair the events, serve on the committees or participate in the activities not necessarily by desire but out of necessity.
We know your time is valuable and attending a monthly meeting may not always be possible, but if you could dedicate a few hours, even once a year, to one of our events or one of our projects it would make a tremendous difference.
Please consider getting involved even if it is just a little bit. You’re bound to have an inner smile knowing you have made a difference for Kids and Kommunity, guaranteed!
If you have other ideas and suggestions to strengthen our Club or to give back to the community, please let us know.
Thank you for being a Kiwanian. And remember, Kids Need Kiwanis and Kiwanis needs You
